The Miramar Greenery accepts recycleable green waste to produce useful mulch, compost and wood chips that are available to the public. City of San Diego residents may self-load up to two cubic yards of compost or mulch for free with proof of residency. Greenery recycling is essential to prolonging the life of the landfill. Currently, more than 14% of the residential waste in the Miramar Landfill is recyclable green material!

To promote greenery recycling, a discount is available on incoming loads of clean green waste, dry wood, and lumber. The discount depends on the vehicle's size. City residents can bring recyclable greens to the Greenery for free!
