They are heavy and will probably get dried needles all over your car, so we don't want you to waste your time when you're trying to do something good. Residents of Madison County may recycle their Christmas trees beginning December 26 to January 18 for recycling. Trees will be chipped and made into reusable mulch. Before disposal, all trees accepted must be stripped of decorations, including tinsel and garland. Residents are encouraged to utilize the drop-off locations during daytime hours for Christmas trees only, as pine wreaths, pine roping, or other landscape waste is prohibited.
This site is located in the gravel parking lot of the Sports Complex.
