South Lake Tahoe Transfer Station - Updated Feb 5, 2014

This site is for residents of El Dorado County only. Proof of residency is required.

To safely transport HHW:
- Please do not transport more than 15 gals or 125 lbs.
- Containers must be 5 gal or smaller.
- Please do not mix wastes together.
- Please use sound, sealed containers.
- Use original containers properly labeled with contents.
- If not using original container, write contents on the container.
- Please place containers in a cardboard box.
- Glass containers should be wrapped in cloth or newspaper.
- Please place the cardboard box in the trunk of your car or in the bed of your pickup truck.
- Provide ventilation by opening a window.
- At the site, staff will unload the waste from your vehicle. You will be asked to stay inside your vehicle.
