The City of West Covina and LA County Public Works have partnered together to bring the Home-Generated Sharps Waste Management Program to our residents in order to help them comply with this new law. "Home-generated sharps waste" means hypodermic needles, pen needles, lancets and other devices that are used to penetrate the skin for delivery of medications at home.

Residents can obtain a sharps container for transporting medical sharps at the West Covina Senior Citizens Center and the City Maintenance Offices.
