Johnson County residents can drop off unwanted computers, televisions & electronic equipment at the district office during regular business hours, please call 738-2546. A fee will apply for all televisions and monitors, please call for details. Ring bell at the back of the warehouse for service.

The District accepts rechargeable batteries at the District office this includes: rechargeable household batteries, button batteries, power tool batteries, Nickel Cadmium (Ni-CD), Nickel Metal Hydride (Ni-MH), Lithium Ion, (Li-ion_, and Nickel Zinc (Ni-Zn) or lead (pb) batteries. The Johnson County Solid Waste Management District no longer accepts non-rechargeable batteries.This includes all non-rechargeable household batteries, such as alkaline AA, AAA, C, D, 9 volt. Alkaline batteries can be safely deposited in your regular trash.

Anyone dropping off electronics for recycling is responsible for removing the items from their vehicle and placing the items in the designated bin.
