All residential vehicles entering the Norwalk Transfer Station or the Yard Debris Site are required to have a valid City of Norwalk Recreation and Parks Beach Sticker affixed to their windshield. Residential vehicles without a sticker will not be allowed to enter either facility.

Please be advised that any residential vehicle dumping without a City of Norwalk Recreations and Parks Beach Sticker will have to pay a fee per dump. Any pickup truck, van, or vehicle pulling a trailer that does not have a permit will have to pay a tip fee for the material (does not include passenger vehicles). Proof of residency is required.

Commercial licensing and renewal for the Transfer Station is available Tuesdays from 9am to noon, by appointment only. To schedule an appointment, call (203) 854-7831.
Residential licensing is available any time, transfer station is open.

Non-Acceptable Items at Transfer Station & Recycling Center:
* Ammunition or explosives
* Asbestos-containing materials
* Asphalt shingles
* Ceramic items (sinks, toilets, etc.)
* Construction and demolition debris
* Freon-containing appliances
* Hazardous materials
* Brick, Block, Cement or Asphalt (no rubble material)
* Sheetrock
