Recycling Your Christmas Tree?

Please call to verify! As dates, times and locations are subject to change, Earth911.com encourages you to call ahead to verify all pertinent information before bringing your Christmas tree for recycling. They are heavy and will probably get dried needles all over your car, so we don't want you to waste your time when you're trying to do something good. If you find any errors or omissions in our listings, we'd appreciate it if you to report them to: clientrelations@earth911.com

For Broomfield Residents Only. During the holiday season, the City & County of Broomfield’s Forestry Department sets up seven collection sites throughout the city where Christmas trees can be dropped off and recycled. The trees will be chipped into mulch. The mulch will be available free of charge and can be picked up at the Broomfield Recycling Center, 225 Commerce St., beginning in February.

The collection sites will be marked with signs and orange fencing. Before leaving a tree at the collection site, please be sure to remove all lights, ornaments, tree stands, nails, and any objects that could damage the brush chipper. The collection sites are intended for Christmas trees only. PLEASE, NO WREATHS, GARLANDS, YARD WASTE, TREE BRANCHES, OR OTHER WOOD PRODUCTS.
