Recycling Your Christmas Tree?

Please call to verify! As dates, times and locations are subject to change, Earth911.com encourages you to call ahead to verify all pertinent information before bringing your Christmas tree for recycling. They are heavy and will probably get dried needles all over your car, so we don't want you to waste your time when you're trying to do something good. If you find any errors or omissions in our listings, we'd appreciate it if you to report them to: clientrelations@earth911.com

Curbside Collection Residents without means of transportation may place their trees curbside. Curbside collection will begin on Tuesday, January 3, 2012 and end on Friday, January 13, 2013.

As part of the City’s commitment to recycle, the trees will be chipped. Some chips will be used as mulch and ground cover in plantings throughout the City with the remainder being sold as bio mass.

Wreaths will not be collected for chipping at either the Public Works compound or curbside. Discarded wreaths are to be placed curbside with residential trash on the scheduled collection day.

Please remove all wire and/or metal objects from trees.
