This event takes place at the Town of Norwood's Composting Facility.
Styrofoam is NOT part of Norwood’s Single Stream Recycling program and should be disposed of in the
trash. However, if you can hold on to your Styrofoam and drop it off on December 26, 2012, your Styrofoam will be RECYCLED! The Norwood DPW has contracted with ReFoamit to collect and recycle Styrofoam. This one day event will be held in conjunction with the Town’s Annual Holiday Recycling Event. We hope you take advantage of this program.

Please PRE SORT the white Styrofoam from the color Styrofoam pieces and SEPARATE OUT the plastic utensils from the Styrofoam pieces. Bring only the following Styrofoam: - Packing blocks - Packing peanuts (must snap and must not disintegrate when placed in water) - Produce and meat trays with the recycle symbol in the triangle (biodegradable trays do not have a recycle symbol) - Take out containers (please rinse) - Hot cups such as Dunkin Donuts and Honey Dew (NO Starbucks or McDonalds because they have cardboard infused on them.) - Trays - White insulation sheets - PLASTIC UTENSILS (must bag separately from Styrofoam) |
