Wethersfield residents using the Transfer Station require a permit, except to pick up mulch.
Waste generated from properties located outside of Wethersfield is not permitted at the Transfer Station.
No mechanical dumping vehicles are permitted.
The town reserves the right to refuse loads which are not suited for disposal in the Transfer Station. Examples of refused loads include: Large tree stumps, large quantities of fill, stones, shingles and cement. The Transfer Station does not accept any hazardous material.
Permit decals must be affixed to the lower left (driver's side) of the front windshield. Permit decals are valid only for the vehicle they were issued for and are not transferable.
In general, the Transfer Station is in operation to serve as a convenience to the residents of Wethersfield. It is not intended to be a landfill nor is it intended to provide an alternate dumping site for large commercial users.
PERMITS AND COUPONS ARE SOLD ONLY AT THE TRANSFER STATION AT 100 MARSH STREET.
