A valid Transfer Station Sticker is required and is available at the Town Hall. Fees are charged for items outside of the definition of Household Waste. Items such as tires, refrigerators, stoves, brush, and yard waste are some of the items in which a fee applies.

Old and Unused Paint:
The Transfer Station also maintains an old/unused paint collection program. Old or unused paints may be brought to the station where others may find them useful. All remaining paint is then shipped to a reuse facility or are used as a fuel source. Oil-based and water-based paints are accepted, but cannot be mixed. Please see one of the attendants for access to the Paint Recycling Shed. Please note that the Paint Recycling Shed will be closing at the end of November and will reopen in April. This is also a good way to eliminate potentially hazardous/problematic materials from your home.

Clothing Donations:
Clothing can be donated to various organizations. Clothing donation bins are located near the Scouts 5 cent returnable shed located near the gatehouse. Local scouting groups separate returnable bottles and cans on a weekly schedule and coordinate returns through a local recycling facility. The funds generated go to a good cause and are appreciated by the scouts - both male and female groups.
