The Canton Transfer Station is located on Ramp Road. From Route 44 or Route 179, turn onto Route 202 as if you are going to Torrington. As soon as you cross the bridge, take a right hand turn onto Powder Mill Road and an immediate left onto Ramp Road. The Transfer Station is at the end of this road on your right.
Transfer Station passes and tokens can only be purchased through the Town Clerk's office at 4 Market Street, Collinsville. You can also make your purchase by mail. There is an annual charge of $140 to residents for use of the Transfer Station. New residents (within the past month) or those residents who document that they have suspended private collection services may purchase the annual permit sticker on a pro rated basis.
