The Metro Kern County Special Waste Facility is located at 4951 Standard Street, (southwest corner of Standard and Foster Streets) in Bakersfield.
When you arrive at this site, please put your vehicle in park, turn off the engine and stay in your vehicle. An attendant will remove hazardous waste for you while you fill out a form with your information.
This site accepts a maximum of 15 gallons or 125 pounds of material per vehicle. Please bring items in original containers and do not mix materials.
This site has a free "Stop n Shop" program where reusable materials such as paint, pesticides and cleaners are given away free of charge.
