Please call to verify! As dates, times and locations are subject to change, Earth911.com encourages you to call ahead to verify all pertinent information before bringing your Christmas tree for recycling. They are heavy and will probably get dried needles all over your car, so we don't want you to waste your time when you're trying to do something good. If you find any errors or omissions in our listings, we'd appreciate it if you to report them to: clientrelations@earth911.com
Residents in the City of Sumner can leave their Christmas Trees on the curbside for pickup and recycling.
Important Recycling Information:
- Flocked trees cannot be recycled and must be discarded in the trash.
- Remove the tree stand, tinsel, decorations, garland, nails and staples.
- Cut the tree in 4-foot lengths, or smaller, and put inside your yardwaste container.
- Do NOT put on the ground next to the container.
- Do not wedge the tree tightly into the container. An automated truck empties the yardwaste container, and compacted materials may not properly empty.
- You don't have to squeeze the entire tree into the container one week. You can place a portion into the container over each of your regularly scheduled yardwaste pick-up days.
- Place your yardwaste container out during your regularly scheduled yardwaste collection day in January.
