The Kenai Peninsula Borough participates with the non-profit recycling organizations Re*Group(Soldotna) and the Electronic Recycling Committee that is a project under the Cook Inlet Keeper in Homer.

Each year the non-profits secure sponsorship from private organizations and organize volunteers to collect used equipment.

All computers and electronics are accepted except audio and video tapes, exit signs, smoke detectors and vacuums.
