City of Folsom Household Hazardous Waste Collection Program - Updated Aug 1, 2016 Back

The City of Folsom provides FREE door-to-door collection by appointment for Folsom residents. Most types of household hazardous waste are accepted except for ammunition, fireworks, gun powder, marine flares and any other types of explosives, biological and medical waste including sharps and large compressed gas cylinders. Only Universal Waste is accepted from businesses and non-residential entities.

Additionally, the City of Folsom has partnered with local hardware stores and retailers for free dry cell battery and fluorescent lamp drop off.

Numerous pharmacies and fire stations in Folsom accept free drop off of home generated sharps.
